Once again, we’ve got a lot to talk about folks. It’s been a wild week in Jiu Jitsu, let’s take a look at the headlines!
Roberto Jiminez wins the Polaris middleweight Grand Prix
With the likes of Owen Livesey, Jed Hue and Oliver Taza, Roberto Jimenez came away with the £20,000 prize and the middleweight strap around his waist after defeating Shane Fishman in his first match, then beating Hunter Colvin in one of the craziest Nogi matches ever for a place in the final against Jed Hue, whom he submitted with seconds left to go on the clock after already being up 5-2 on points.
What a performance! Congrats young man.
Harry Hardwick shines at Cage Warriors 145
Taking on Steve Aimable in a featherweight scrap on Fridays Cage Warriors event, Harry put on a performance for the ages. Technically brilliant, we saw the type of performance that really put Harry on the map for the next title shot at featherweight. Quite simply dominant against a dangerous opponent in Aimable, but Harry proved himself ready for the upper echelons of competition. Congratulations!

Open Mat Madness
We had our inaugural open mat yesterday at our home gym of Stealth Teesside. I was nervous. What if only 3 people showed up? I’d roped our head coach Jamie Taylor in to show some techniques at the start, and was really worried no one was coming.
It turns out I had no reason to be concerned, as we had over 60 people through the doors from gyms allover the country. Thankyou so much to everyone who came down and supported. We also sold way more gear than expected, so our online store is a bit sparse.
Eyes peeled for a restock! We’re going to drop all the photos here over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled on your inbox for the drop.
If you couldn't make it, we’re also going to post plenty of the techniques taught early on over on our Youtube channel, so make sure you get subscribed and don’t miss out! I mean, we’ll post them here too so don’t feel obliged.
Northern Submission Series Around the corner
Stick the date in your diaries. November 26th, Sunderland. The best north eastern Submission show is back. The co-main is a barn burner between Ellis Younger & Connor Campbell. We’ll be taking a look at the highlights of the full card between now and then!
That’s it for today, as we’ll be releasing another issue this week with all the photos from the open mat.
As always, we can be reached on Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
